RENAN FERNANDES LOOKS TO BEAT DEFENDER
Renan Fernandes, named co-captain of the NCAA DII Eastern New Mexico State University Greyhound soccer team, has started every match during the 2011 season. The Greyhounds just captured the Lone Star Conference Championship with a 0-0 tie against NCAA DII #12 Incarnate Word. Renan received 2nd Team All-Conference honors in the Lone Star Conference for his on field performance during his junior year.

Renan played from 2009-2010 at East Central College where he was named captain his sophomore year and was a 2nd Team All-Region and a 2nd Team All-Conference selection. Along with being a model student and great player for East Central College, Renan was a campus leader serving in student worker positions and clubs while at ECC. Renan's home town is Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
