FORMER ECC ALL-AMERICAN NICKARDO BLAKE DRAFTED BY MLS TORONTO FC

Former East Central College NJCAA All-American, Nickardo Blake- photo by Bill BattleNickardo Blake- photo by Bill BattleNickardo Blake, was recently drafted 14th in the Major League Soccer supplemental draft by Toronto FC. The two-time NJCAA All-American helped lead the East Central College Falcons to a Midwest Community College Athletic Conference Championship and Region 16 Championship during his freshman year in 2008.

FORMER ECC STUDENT ATHLETE, TYLER HOUCK, WINS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Former East Central College men’s soccer player, Tyler Houck, ended his college career by winning a National Championship with the Lindenwood- Belleville Lynx in Asheville, N.C. against Briarcliffe. Tyler scored the first goal in the national title game to put the Lynx up 1-0 in the second half. LU- Belleville won their first USCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship with a 2-1 victory by netting the game winner with only 45 seconds remaining in regulation.
During his two years at LU-Belleville, Tyler scored 11 goals each season and collected All-American honors in both seasons.

Tiffany Borgerding, ECC sophomore outside hitter, was selected as a 2nd Team All-American.
