EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE GETS CONFERENCE VICTORY OVER ST. LOUIS

Gino BonoGino BonoThe Falcons are now 5-6-1 on the season after winning their second Missouri Community College Athletic Conference match in row by defeating the St. Louis Community College Archers by a score of 2-1. ECC knocked off St. Louis Community College for the second time this year and has started to find ways to keep the lead and win games. Dylan Cassidy converted the first goal of the game on a penalty kick. Gino Bono netted the game winner for the Falcons which is his second goal of the season.

FALCONS WIN IN STRAIGHT SETS OVER REND LAKE

ECC Volleyball traveled to Rend Lake College in Ina, IL to take on the Warriors and made quick work of the match by winning in three straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-12. A better defensive and passing game had the attack rolling for the Falcons. Abby Toppmeyer produced her best offensive game of the season by registering 13 kills in the match. Maddie Halford followed Toppmeyer with 8 kills of her own and Taylor Davis recorded 7 kills.

ECC TAKES FLIGHT OVER COMETS

The Falcons traveled to Northeastern Oklahoma A & M to for the Pre-Region Seeding Tournament in Miami, OK. A highlight from the tournament was a best two out of three match victory over the Cottey College Comets by scores of 25-20 and 25-21. The Falcons were paced on offense by Abigail Spuhl and Maddie Halford as the two collected the most kills in the match. East Central has been struggling in the passing game and dropped the other two matches to MCC-Longview and Northeastern Oklahoma A &M by scores of 18-25, 16-25 and 25-27 and 19-25 respectively.
