FALCONS PICK UP ACCOLADES

An incredible turnaround season has been marked with a number of highlights for the East Central College Soccer Falcons. The team won the school’s 5th conference championship with a regular season 2-1 victory over Jefferson College. Winning the first championship in the newly branded Missouri Community College Athletic Conference came with a number of other accolades. Coach Kean Barclay was named MCCAC Coach of the Year and four players were named 1st Team MCCAC All-Conference.

FALCONS TAME DRAGONS IN THREE SETS

Taylor DavisTaylor DavisThe Falcons (20-19) were able to take control of the Wentworth Military Academy Dragons early in a Region 16 DII home match and win in straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-15. Peaking above the .500 mark for the first time since early in the season, the Falcons are starting to reach top form before the Region 16 Tournament. A total team performance had the offense and defense working in synergy. Taylor Davis led the charge from both sides and collected a team high 17 digs with 7 kills.

FALCONS FLY INTO REGION FINAL WITH 2-1 OT WIN OVER JEFFERSON

Zeke LittleZeke LittleThe East Central College Soccer Falcons (11-7-1) continued their amazing turnaround with an NJCAA Region 16 semifinal victory over Jefferson College by a score of 2-1 in over time. The Falcons played a good first half with Zeke Little anchoring the defense in goal for the Falcons. A couple of tremendous saves by Little kept ECC in the match, but Jefferson scored with 40 seconds remaining in the first half to go up 1-0.
